Guitar String Buzz

Question:
Hello, I have a problem with my High E string.  When I pick the string up high, the lower part of it  picks up the vibration and it ruins the sound.

Answer:
You may want to try relaxing the truss rod a little.  The neck may not have enough bow in it causing the string behind where you are fretting to touch the tops of the lower frets.

I have personally run into this problem using a capo.  I would capo high like maybe the 6th or 7th fret and strum.  Some of the strings below the capo would vibrate against the tops of the frets making a weird noise.  As a temporary fix, I have stuck a flat pick between the offending strings below the capo to stop the vibrations.  That way I didn't have to change the truss rod adjustment.
