Question:
What are medium and jumbo size frets?
Answer:
A medium fret is what is usually used on an acoustic guitar. If you
look at a cross section of it, it looks like a rivet and the head
(crown) is a perfect half circle. This is the part you actually see on
your fingerboard when it's installed. The crown usually measures .085"
wide and .045" tall. A jumbo fret would be wider and higher .115"
& .050" respectively. Jumbos are usually used on electrics and
sometimes acoustics.
